Count format changes

I have a table with a list of personal names in a column, most of which are
entered in black text whilst a minority are entered in red text.

I would like to know what steps I have to undertake to enter a formula that
counts the number of red entries within the column.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that Bob! For future reference of other users, I've provided a
direct link to instructions on processing coloured cells.
