Enable/Disable Macros dialogue box when user opens Excel

Excel 2002 - Windows XP SP2

User says that the above dialogue box isn't appearing when he opens Excel,
even though he knows his spreadsheet contains macros. It appears for other
users who open the same spreadsheet. Macro security is set to medium by
default.

I have tried deleting the following reg key but to no avail:

HKCU\software\microsoft\office\10.0\Excel\security

Any ideas? Or does user need to reboot once this key is deleted?

Thanks

Yes, needs to reboot. Changes to the registry are not 'seen' until a reboot
is accomplished, usually. Also, changes to Macro Security settings require
that you close Excel and re-open it for those to take effect.

Where is the file stored? Is it in that user's XLStart folder?

Any chance that the user approved the digital signature for that author of that
workbook?

Tools|Macro|security|trusted publishers
may give you a hint.
