When I copy a formula from a Group posting and paste it into a Excel
spreadsheet, the height of the cell APPEARS to increase. However, when
I do FORMAT/ROW/HEIGHT, the row height has not changed.

How can I prevent the apparent increase in the cell's height?

Aha! When I do FORMAT/CELLS/ALIGNMENT, the "Merged Cells" box contains
an 'X'. When I clear the 'X', the APPEARANCE of the cell returns to
normal.

Good find.

Saves me having to tell you that<g

Don't know why sometimes this happens but that's the only fix I ever found.
