automatic change in inventory
 

HI,

I have an inventory list for a device I am building. I want to be able
to enter the number of devices I have built in a cell, then have the
inventory change to reflect the parts used. The inventory is in column
H the number of parts in the device are in column D, and the cell I
wanted to enter the number of completed units is J3. So I came up with
=H5-$J$3*D5 as my formula and put it in H5, But I want to be able to
change the number in the inventory column when a new shipment of parts
comes in and putting a formula in the cell doesn't allow me to do this.
Any suggestions?
