Changed grid line color, now cell borders don't show
I'm using Microsoft Excel 2003. I changed the grid line color to a
lighter shade of gray. Now the borders of cells (merged and unmerged) no longer show up, regardless of what color I set them to. Is there a an arcane workaround for this? Thanks. |

Did you fill the area with a background color--even white?
If yes, then instead of using the gridlines, maybe it's time to use Borders--or remove the fill color. wrote: I'm using Microsoft Excel 2003. I changed the grid line color to a lighter shade of gray. Actually, the problem is that the proper border options have to be clicked *after* selecting the line width & color. So the preview of the borders in the border customization window is very important. Thanks anyway. Fred wrote: I'm using Microsoft Excel 2003.
