![]() Hi there ... My problem is that I am trying to export data from one .xls file to another .xls file. The two spreadsheets have the same number of columns and each field contains the same data type in the same order - however the receiving spreadsheet has macro dropdown boxes in it so it's not a case of simply cutting and pasting unfortunately. I'm sure there must be a way of assigning which data item on exporting .xls refers to which item on dropdown box on receiving .xls - but it's probably beyond my abilities as I have little programming knowledge. To put this in context: I am entering wildlife survey data into a spreadsheet on a PDA - this data then has to be given to a government funding body in a certain spreadsheet they have designed to link in with their computer systems (hence I can't simply give them my plain old .xls sheet - even if it looks similar!). The only way to get round this I see is to import my data into their spreadsheet. Any help would be very much appreciated, Best wishes, Richard Oxford, UK -- RichardOxon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ RichardOxon's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=37706 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=572985 |
