in excel - arrow keys won't work & cursor will not select a cell
is there a setting that isn't allowing my arrow keys to work in Excel?
Additionally, my cursor will not select a cell - it only highlites cells. I can't use the menu bar or even quit out of excel with Ctrl+Alt+Del. Arrow keys and cursor work in all other applications |

Couple of things come to mind although "arrow keys don't work" is not too
descriptive. Do they do nothing or move the sheet instead of the active cell? 1. You have your Scoll Lock key enabled. 2. You have hit F8 to get into Extended mode. Hit F8 again. 3. Tap your wheelie mouse roller a few times to get out of selection mode. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will watchfor those. I was able to fix
the problem by doing a complete shut down and restart. I did this on the advise of a friend. He believed there is a "memory" to the application that needed to be rebooted. I did not know about the F8 key and will keep that in mind if it locks up again. Thanks again Jimmo "Gord Dibben" wrote: Couple of things come to mind although "arrow keys don't work" is not too descriptive. Do they do nothing or move the sheet instead of the active cell? 1.
