Formula returns cell name

I'm messing around with a worksheet of mine doing random formatting things.
After doing a conditional format (which I have since removed), every time I
enter a simple formula in the affected cells I get the cell name instead of
the value.

Example: Cell A2 contains the value 3.75. In cell E2, I enter =A2 and
instead of 3.75, E2 shows =A2.

Thanks. For some reason, when I did the conditional formatting it changed my
cell formatting to text.

Also make sure there isn't an apostrophe in front of the formula.

Finally, make sure the cell in question is not formatted as text.
