Retain date format in cell
 

In Excel 2003 I produce a dated schedule. When I add data to a cell the date
format changes as follows:
9-Aug to 09/08/06
The cell is custom formatted d-mmm.

Retain date format in cell
 

How do you add data to a cell and which cell are you adding to?
