Hiding cells with password
How do you hide cells(or columns/rows) that can only be accessed by a password so when you enter a password, it will automatically unhide the cells? Thanks. -- cardingtr ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cardingtr's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=27027 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=569739 |

you can't hide a cell or cells in a way you hide rows or columns. however if you want to hide the contents of a particular cell or cells, you can change the font colour to white or the same as your sheet background is and then protect the sheet (Tools Protection) and under Allow options keep all formating options unchecked. similarly if you want to hide row or column as a whole, hide it and protect your sheet. hope this will serve your purpose. cardingtr Wrote: How do you hide cells(or columns/rows) that can only be accessed by a password so when you enter a password, it will automatically unhide the cells? The only problem with that is that if anyone highlights the 'hidden' cells they'll see what's in them. :( -- geoffkb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ geoffkb's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=37209 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=569739 |
