i want serial numbers should be changed automatically
 

i have following numberssssss.....
A1
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
upto 1000...
when i delete the numbers for example 4 and 7 then the other names
remain same but i want taht list should me changed sorted automatically
...
i mean when i delete 4 and 7 then list should be changed automatically
like this...

2
3
4
5
6..i mean serial number should be changed...as befor edeleting they
were 8 but when i delete 2 numbers from them then there should be 6
numbers and they must be serial... thanks

in a1 put 1
in a2 =a1+1 and copy down

Oh dear gazeta u didnt got my point.. my point is that suppose i have
following 5 numbers
1
2
3
4
5
when i delete 2 then 3 4 and 5 remaisn same in their position..they
should be moved up automatically because 2nd row is delete.......and
then numbers should be sorted automatically/

In column A in A1 enter =ROW()

Drag.copy down column A as far as you wish.

When deleting anything, delete the entire row or EditDeleteShift up.

The numbers will re-fill accordingly.
