Default numbers in a column and it changes when I move to the next column

When I enter say 02-02-37 then go to the next column or row the number will
change to 2/02/1937 only in a few rows this will happen. I'll change it back
but it will go right back to what it was before.

Try formatting/pre-formatting the entire col as text (via Format Cells
Text OK). This should remove the ambiguity once and for all.
