Hi
I'm wanting to sort a spreadsheet of cheque (check) records where the cheque number is calculated from the first cell in the column. I'm planning to sort it by a different sequence but don't want to screw up the cheque numbers. Is there some way of locking the calculated cells or converting the calculations to data so that it can be sorted? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sam |

Sam,
You could convert the formula to a value by copying the appropriate cells and then choose from the Edit Menu, Paste Special and select Values. Then the cheque numbers for that selection will not change any more. Rob "Sam Bede" wrote in message ...
