Issues with dates
When I typed 072806 in an excel formatted date column it came up 5/01/2099.
The only way I was able to keep the dates I want is to actually type 7/28/06. I do not usually type the / when entering dates in a formatted column. |
Issues with dates
Dates cannot be entered without a separator like / or -
If you "do not usually type the /" then you have some code running. You can use VBA event code for quick entry as you want. See Chip Pearson's site for this. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeEntry.htm Alternative......................... Format the cells as Text.........enter your 072806 and many more like it in successive cells until you have all your dates entered. Then DataText to ColumnsNextNextColumn Data FormatDateMDYFinish.
