Is there a function to have a cell look at a number in a cell and have it
appear in test. Example In A1 is the number 500 and A2 looks at A1 and
appears as "Five Hundred Dollars"

Let's go step by step:
1.- Open the visual basic editor (Alt+F11, or Tools-Macro-Visual Basic
Editor)
2.- Create a new module (Insert-Module)
3.- Paste the code from the first post, from Option Explicit to End Function
4.- Close the Visual Basic Editor, now you can use SpellNumber as function
in Excel (=SpellNumber(A1), for example)

Hope this helps,
Miguel.

You may need a personalized function. This one is from a previous post:
