Can you send a Macro to someone else by email?
I have been asked if Macro's can be sent by e-mail. Is this possible?
Thanks |

You could export/copy the code into a simple text file (or even just paste into
the body of your email. But then you have to tell the user how to use this to create a workable macro. Can you just send the workbook that contains the macro and then have that user open that workbook and run the macro in that workbook? Export the Macro in VB Editor, will be saved as a .bas i dont know whether some emails will block/allow it to be uploaded though -- samprince ------------------------------------------------------------------------ samprince's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34168 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=567365 |

You can rename the .bas to .txt or just copy|paste directly into the body of
your email. I wouldn't do it that way, though. I'd just send the workbook with the macro. samprince wrote: Export the Macro in VB Editor, will be saved as a .bas i dont know whether some emails will block/allow it to be uploaded though -- samprince ------------------------------------------------------------------------ samprince's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34168 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=567365 -- Dave Peterson |
