Excel keeps putting .xls] on my sheets and then I get an error
I have a workbook that I have names sheets without issue before. Now I am
renaming them and each time I enter the new name as I click to the next sheet it put .xls] in front of the name and it I click on it to make a change it gives me and error because of the . and the ] and it will not let me out of the error even if I overwrite it and it wont let me close the workbook HELP |

Close excel
open windows explorer go to the folder that holds that file rename that file so that you don't have any [' or ]'s in it. Back to excel and try it out.
