File size limit
I have an Excel file that is 2.87 MB, which doesn't seem too terribly large.
However, when I go to open it, it takes _forever_, so to speak, and ends up locking up most my system sometimes. I have about 36 GB of free space on my hard drive, and am not sure why the file is taking so long to open. Any suggestions? |

What OS, how much RAM have you got, what other processes are running at the same time, and where is the file being opened from? |

Also, the file is stored on my desktop and is being accessed from there.

Isn't this only 65 mb of Ram? To run Excel 2003, you will need at least 256mb of ram and preferably XP. "Daniel" wrote: Also, the file is stored on my desktop and is being accessed from there.
