How do I merge 2 data bases in Excel avoiding duplicate records?
Have two files of records. Want to merge but avoid ending up with two of the
same records in the combined database. Is there way to do this without alphabetizing and visually scanning for duplicates? |

You might want to try allowing duplicate records to be imported and then removing the duplicates. An easy way to do this is using the Data-Advanced filter setting an empty criteria range and setting the unique records flag to true. -- mrice Research Scientist with many years of spreadsheet development experience ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mrice's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=10931 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=566147 |
