In my installation of 2002 that only shows a descriptive name of the item.

Nowhere can I find a way to show the shortcut keystrokes for that item.

Like CTRL + B for Bold

If you turn on the 'Show shortcut keys in ScreenTips' feature in Word
(ToolsCustomize, Options tab), it will affect other Office applications
that share the feature, e.g. PowerPoint. Excel doesn't have the feature,
so only the the Help button (AFAIK) is affected.
