Hi,

I have a bit of a strange problem. In Excel 2003 (office 2003 prof.ent) I
want to Find and Replace within cells, more than in the Formulas (Comments
and Values as well). But Excel only presents me with Formulas as the only
option...See attachment.
Any solution/tip appreciated.

Best regards,

Bval

Hi Bval,

I have 2002 and in that as well within replace only formula option is
available. (Within Find all 3 options are available)

Dont know why MS has not provided this feature in Replace.

Thanks a lot,
Hari

And in Excel 97.........Replace has NO options.

Find has the 3 options.

The VALUE is calculated by the formula. If the input cells remain constant,
the only way to change the value is to change the underlying formula.

Just to add to Myrna's post:

="ha"&"ri"& " " & "Pra" & "sadh"

What should happen if you said to change "Hari Prasadh" to "Jim Johnson"?

And if some of those constants referred to cells?
=a1&b1&c1&d1&e1
but still evaluated to:
Hari Prasadh

That's a good question. And I don't have a guess why they were excluded.
