How to shrink file sizes after eliminating worksheets in file

My file sizes get rather large and not easy to send out via e-mail. I have
tried to delete worksheets that are not needed , including pivot tables and
charts. Is there some utility available that can get rid of the unused space
and make the file sizes manageable? Any tips or suggestions are welcome.
Thank you

Have you tried to zip the file before sending?

Check out Debra Dalgleish's site for tips on resetting the used range on a
sheet.
