Named range causing really weird problems - HELP
I have a program that reads named ranges in Excel and adds them to a
database. There are a few names in a few files that are causing problems. As an example, I have cell G9 named "ip_City" and the text in there says "Beth Twnshp". My programs reads it and displays "Denver"! I had copied some of the sheets from a different file but I BROKE ALL LINKS. What I HAVE NOTICED is this: ALL the named ranges that are giving me problems have this in common: when I go to the Define Name dialog box, and view the range names (in the big box that lists all named ranges), the ranges that work OK are listed in the box by their name, --- the ranges with problems are listed by their name and then there are a bunch of spaces and then the name of the sheet they are in. For example: the big box that lists all named ranges has ip_City 'IPR Input' (IPR Input is the name ofthe sheet that the range is in) Hope somebody understands what I am talking about and can HEEEEELLLLLPP! |
