change tab stop in spreadsheet

Suddenly when I hit the tab key on the keyboard, I move about 6 cells over,
instead of just one. I cannot figure out how to change the settings back to
1. Any suggestions?

First make sure that ToolsOptionsTransition "transition navigation keys" is
unchecked. This is the most common cause of the Tab-jump.

If it is already unchecked, perhaps the sheet is protected and the Tab key is
jumping over locked cells to unlocked cells.
