How do i turn off the word limiter for excel?

I'm trying to compose a document in excel and one of the cells needs to
contain quite a lot of information. However, it appears to cut out a lot of
the text when i copy it from another document. Is there a way to prevent this?

Excel's help says that you can see about 1000 characters in the cell--but the
cell will hold about 32k characters.

You can actually increase the number of characters you see by adding alt-enters
every 80-100 characters. This forces a new line within the cell.
