Stop 150.00 in Exel Beta showing as 1.50.

With the new Beta version of Exel I cannot prevent [say] 150.00 showing as
1.50.
The previous version, I just enter[say] 150 and the cell displays 150.00. I
do not think I am that stupid, but!

With earlier versions of Excel it would be:
Tools/ Options/ Edit:
Fixed decimal places.

If that menu path doesn't exist in the 2007 beta I suggest you look up
"fixed decimal places" in the help.

Ross,
I haven't got beta myself but your problem appears to be that
fixed decimals is set to 2 places.

In Excel 2003, this is set in Tools==Options==Edit==Fixed dec places so
if you can find the beta equivalent ......

Dear David, Thanks, it caused me to re-examine the new procedure. I went to
"Microsoft Office" Button thence "Advanced" thence "Places". The default
setting is TWO. I have reset it to zero. There is also a negative option!

Regards,

Thank you. I re-examined the protocols and found I needed to apply: MICROSOFT
OFFICE BUTTON, thence ADVANCED, thence EDITING OPTIONS thence AUTOMATICALLY
INSERT a decimal point. In PLACES, I set ZERO. Viola! Note that there is NO
pointer in the Cell Format area of Excel. This is vexing.
