Default How can I plot a 3-D vector in Excel?

Is there a way that I can specify X, Y, and Z coordinates for a point and
have Excel plot that point on a 3-D chart? A line from origin to point would
be nice, but not essential.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi,

True 3d charting is not built-in. You might be able to modify my example
which uses trig to calculate positions.

Also have a look at fernando cinquegrani's pages

Cheers

Andy,

My Italian isn't good enough to pull anything useful off of Fernando's site,
but your download was enlightening. I should have thought of a cosine
transformation matrix - very clever! And the sliders for the X, Y, and Z
axis rotation angles are a nice touch. I'm still not sure I understand
everything I see in how you set the charts up, but give me some time with it.

Thanks so much for your help!
