Line Charts Problem
Hi there
I am having problems selecting the data I wish to display in a line graph. Basically, using the data below, I would like to display the dates across the horizontal axes and values and percentages plotted on the vertical axes. With the values for the two sets of data (hats & coats) plotted in the graph. The problem Im having is that I cannot see how to select a range of source data when the data is not displayed in imeditately adjacent cells. Any ideas? w/c Silk 20/03/2006Hats 81.1% Coats 1384 27/03/2006Hats 79.3% Coats 2071 03/04/2006Hats 94.8% Coats 1589 10/04/2006Hats 89.5% Coats 1187 17/04/2006Hats 71.7% Coats 1390 24/04/2006Hats 86.0% Coats 1449 01/05/2006Hats 89.9% Coats 1287 Thanks |
Line Charts Problem
Hi JaB,
I think you will have to rearrange your data into three columns. Column 1 = dates, Column 2 = Hats and Column 3 = Coats. The best way to do it would probably be to use autofilter to hide the blank cells in the dates column, then copy and paste the dates to another part of the sheet or the same place on a different sheet. Then use the auto filter to hide the cells with "Coats", then copy and paste the Hat values in the column next to the previously pasted date values. Then the auto filter to hide the "Hat" cells, then copy and paste the Coat values. I've had to guess your current data structure, it looks prety messy on my screen. Ken Johnson |
