A formula in Data Range
If I want to plot column C vs. column A, rows 1-5, the Data range is
Sheet1!$A$1:$A$5,Sheet1!$C$1:$C$5 Is it possible to plot instead say the sum of columns B and C (ie B[i] + C[i] vs. A[i]) - or must I instead create a column with B+C and use that? Thanks! |
A formula in Data Range
Hi,
You can not use a formula in the data range itself but you can use Named ranges. Insert a named range, Insert Names Define Names... Call it SumData and use the following formula. =Sheet1!$B$1:$B$5+Sheet1!$C$1:$C$5 you can modify the charts series formula to be, =SERIES(,Sheet1!$A$1:$A$5,Sheet1!SumData,2) Cheers Andy bartsie wrote: If I want to plot column C vs. column A, rows 1-5, the Data range is Sheet1!$A$1:$A$5,Sheet1!$C$1:$C$5 Is it possible to plot instead say the sum of columns B and C (ie B[i] + C[i] vs. A[i]) - or must I instead create a column with B+C and use that?
