Excel should allow you to use the format painter on a graph
 

I use graphs quite extensively in Excel and often need to change colors of
alot of bars in a bar graph. Using the format painter will make this go alot
quicker

Have you experimented using the Fill Color tool - icon has a paint can at an
angle- to recolour bars?
