Default How do I prevent truncation of the Y-axis title?

When making charts using Excel, I've found that the Y-axis title is always
truncated if I use a truetype font, e.g. Ariel. For example, if I set the
label to "Total Count Rate", it only appears on the chart as "Total Count R".
