Can't quite get what I want with bar chart; help appreciated
I have 3 columns of data: (1) product name; (2) date of production; and
(3) quantity produced. The data is arranged in rows. In other words, each row corresponds to a particular product. Also note that not all production dates are unique. I would like to create a bar chart with one bar for each product. The date of production should be on the x-axis, quantity produced on the y-axis, and the product names as the legend text. But I can't quite seem to get it right. I've got 23 nicely colored bars and the product names as the legend text. But I can't get the dates on the x-axis. It seems like I might need to somehow fool Excel into doing what I want. But I don't know how to get it done. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks, Rich |
