I want to paste in new POINTS, not a new SERIES, from another workbook
I've seen EXCELlent advice on combining data from multiple workbooks
into a single chart. I'm trying to use this procedu 1 - Open Chart (source data in Book x, which can be open or not) 2 - Open Book 2 (source from which I want to add data) 3 - In Book 2, select data to add to chart and use Copy 4 - Go to Chart, click Paste Special, and the dialog box offers me the choice to paste cells as "New Series" or "New Points." But "New Points," which is what I want, is greyed out. Why, and how do I overcome this? arhooley |
