Default Linking Axes Max & Mins to source chart

Hi All,

I've pasted a chart from one workbook into another, the data is sourced
from the original workbook. I would like for the chart to be linked
from the original chart though. As in, I want to be able to make
changes to the formatting (particularly the scale) of the original
chart and have that appear in the chart in the second chart.
Basically, I want the charts to be linked. This is part of a process
that will need to be repeated hundreds of times so pasting in a picture
each time the chart changes is an option I'm trying to avoid. Any
thoughts, ideas, or suggestions (or statements that linking chart
formats is just impossible) are greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

Hi David,

Have you tried the camera tool? If this is not in a standard toolbar, you
can use the menu item ToolsCustomize then click on the Commands tab, look
in the Tools category and scroll down the Commands list until you see the
Camera command. Drag this onto a toolbar and close the Customize dialog.

You can now select a worksheet range (including an embedded chart) and click
the Camera commannd button - the cursor changes to a small crosshair - click
on a new worksheet to paste a picture of the range. The picture is linked to
the original worksheet range and will change when the original chart
changes.

Hope you all had a great Christmas, and Happy New Year to you.
