I need to create a chart to show each individual Community $/sft range in
comparison. I can not get excel to create the x axis on a range from 693 sqft
(lowest) to 1346 (highest) and then place the $ tick where it should fall
into the sqft amount for that price. Excel either picks up 1 of the three
sqft ranges (it wont create a range), (or) labels each sqft ft as series
1,2,3,4,5,6,7, etc...My Series are the Community Names, not the sqft amounts.
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. My boss needs this graph for a
meeting today at a meeting - Please Help

Milano Terrace aka Shadow
Brook $189,900 $245,900 $304,900 $269,900 $400,900
sqft 693 733 1068 915 1221

Bella Terra aka City Place $199,900 $209,900 $299,900 $329,900 $365,950
sqft 736 794 1046 1070 1248

The Plaza aka San
Mateo $214,950 $224,950 $304,950 $314,950 $324,950 $374,950
sqft 773 910 1120 1180 1207 1346

Not sure I understand what you are trying to do. However, if I was
trying to show a relationship between total dollars and total square
feet, I'd use an XY or Scatter Chart.

Rochelle B ...

I think I understand what you are trying to do. Have you tried manually
entering the X axis labels that you want? You do this by going to "Source
Data," then" Series." Click on the first series listed. In the box for the
"Category (X) axis labels" at the bottom, you can manually enter the text for
whatever labels you want. Separate each with a comma. Also, remember that
the size of your chart and your label font size also determines how many
labels will appear due to the automatic sizing feature. If your labels don't
all appear, go into "Format Axis" and reduce your font size.

Is this what you were after? Hope this helps. Not in time for your meeting
today. Sorry.
