When I group data or hide data. The graph series dissappears and the graph
nolonger shows the data. Is there a way round this without just putting the
data elesewhere

Hi,

Select the graph and then display the Options dialog via the menus Tools
Options. On the Chart tab is a option to Plot Visible cells only. You
need to uncheck this.
