Chart wizard picks wrong data for axis
This is in Excel 2003.
I have a block of numbers in C104:I111, with columni labels in C103:I111 and row labels in B104:B111. I want to create a line chart with the rows as series and column labels as X-axis labels. When I highlight the information and click the chart wizard, it makes the columns the series and uses the row labels for the x-axis. I've tried selecting other text, but the wizard does it the same way every time. Is there a way to force the wizard to do what I want, instead of what it wants? Thanks. PS: I just upgraded from 2002, where I never had this problem, as far as I can remember. |
First, clear cell C103. Second, in step 2 of the chart wizard, on the
Data Source tab, choose the By Rows option. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ jg wrote: This is in Excel 2003.
