How do I add a column total?
I have a basic stacked column chart w/ five data series. How do I add a total
to the top of the column? When I select to show data values, Excel shows each each data series' values on each data point. But I'd like to see a total amt on top of the column in addition to those individual data point values. How can I show that? |
Add a series which uses the sum of the other series as its data range.
(It's probably already there in the worksheet, right?) Right click on this new series, select Chart Type, and change to a Line type. Then double click on the line, on the Patterns tab, select None for Marker and Line, and on the Data Labels tab, select the Value option. Then double click on the Data Labels, and on the Alignment tab, choose Above for position. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ Carter Devereaux wrote: I have a basic stacked column chart w/ five data series.
