how to make break the y axis for the in the line chart
Hello ,
I have data like this molarity H-8 H-7 H-3 0.1 7.872 3.88 3.404 0.066666667 7.874 3.892 3.426 0.05 7.874 3.897 3.436 0.033333333 7.873 3.895 3.432 0.025 7.874 3.9 3.44 molarity on x axis and all other 3 are on y axis. i have one column for molarity and other 3 colums for 3 different atoms H-8, H-7, H-3. in this H-7 and H-3 has almost same range and H-8 has different range. how to break the y axis for this differnt range and plot the line plot for all these together. Answer: how to make break the y axis for the in the line chart
Hi Rupali,
To break the y-axis in a line chart, you can follow these steps:
Now you should have a line chart with a broken y-axis that shows all the data points for all three atoms. You can customize the chart further by adding titles, labels, and legends as needed. |

Rupali,
The easiest though not single solution is using primary and secondary axes with different scales for both groups of data. Check out the Help. By a proper shift between scales you can even signify the mutual position of both. -- Petr Bezucha "rupali shivapurkar" wrote: Hello , I have data like this molarity H-8 H-7 H-3 0.1 7.872 3.88 3.404 0.066666667 7.874 3.892 3.426 0.05 7.874 3.897 3.436 0.033333333 7.873 3.895 3.432 0.025 7.874 3.9 3.44 molarity on x axis and all other 3 are on y axis. i have one column for molarity and other 3 colums for 3 different atoms H-8, H-7, H-3. in this H-7 and H-3 has almost same range and H-8 has different range. how to break the y axis for this differnt range and plot the line plot for all these together.
