alignment of x axis
hi all,
this is my first post here so please be gentle with me! i have a stacked column chart, and have text labels on the x axis. these labels are aligned at 90degrees (you have to turn your head sideways to read them). these labels are of varying length, and i would like to align or justify these to the left (or bottom). any ideas? |
double click on the axis select the alignment tab and play with the angles
or other orientations to give you what looks better to you "philc" wrote: hi all, this is my first post here so please be gentle with me! i have a stacked column chart, and have text labels on the x axis. these labels are aligned at 90degrees (you have to turn your head sideways to read them). these labels are of varying length, and i would like to align or justify these to the left (or bottom). any ideas? |
Hi,
Unfortunately the labels are aligned to the axis. To get the labels to align away from the axis would require either adding spaces to the labels, which can still be a bit hit and miss especially if the text decides to wrap. Another way would be to use textboxes.
