Find an unknown x coordinate from know y coordinate of curved line

I have drawn a number of (x,y) charts and i was wondering if there is a way
of locating an unknown x coordinate with a known y coordinate directly
without having to manually interpolate the data.

Check out the TREND function in XL help. For your case, swap the known x's
and known y's (as XL doesn't really care which is which, its just by
definition programmed to "input x, find y")
