How do I display a data table in an Excel 2002 chart?
 

I am unable to display data tables in Excel 2002 charts, because the "Data
Table" tab does not appear under the "Chart Options" menu as in does in
Office 97, and as the help file says that it should. Any suggestions?

Dr. Mark,

Unfortunately data tables are not available for every chart that Excel
offers. For example, data tables are not avaiable for XY, pie, doughnut,
radar, bubble, and surface charts. Could it be that you're using one of
these?

Thank you kindly John. In fact, the problem did arise in conjunction with an
xy chart. After your post I changed it to a line chart and was able to add
the data table. Unfortunately, the help file doesn't specify which chart
types are and are not capable of generating data tables, and the logic isn't
apparent to me.
