Black triangles on error bar charts in Excel 2007
 

Many of the error bar charts (standard deviation) I make end up showing black
triangle figures. Very large ones across the graph. I have googled and there
are other posts concerning such gremlins. None describe a fix. Has anyone had
a problem with this?

Are they like arrowheads on a line? If so, format the error bars to remove
them. If not, I don't know what they are, because I haven't seen such
'gremlins', though I do not doubt your report of their existence.

try this site for a word file with the graphs in it. notice the black
triangles. the data is presented also. i saw the triangles when i opened the
document in word 2003 also.
