Format portion of plot area
Is it possible to format a portion of the plot area in a chart? For example,
if the vertical axis goes from 0 to 2, I want to be able to have the area above 1 to be one color and the area below 1 to be a different color. |
Format portion of plot area
Hi,
Suppose your data looks like the first 2 columns below ( I realize your numbers are between 0 and 2: Month Values V1 Jan 82 50 Feb 74 50 Mar 3 50 Apr 79 50 May 70 50 Jun 1 50 Jul 65 50 Aug 91 50 Sep 86 50 Oct 35 50 Nov 49 50 Dec 76 50 1. In the third column enter a set of 1's instead of my 50's. 2. Plot the whole range as a line chart for example. 3. Select the 1's series and choose Chart, Chart Type and change to an area chart. 4. Format the backgound of the Plot area one color and you 1's area another color. 5. Depending on the type of chart you may need to double click the x-axis and choose the Scale tab and uncheck Value (Y) axis crosses between categories. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Bob" wrote: Is it possible to format a portion of the plot area in a chart?
