Remove series from Pivot Chart
In Excel 2007, is it possible to remove a series of values from a Pivotchart?
I have a pivot table with 1 report filter, 1 row label series, and 6 value series all of which have been formatted and are displayed in a table. Now I want to be able to generate a pivot chart based on that data (which I have done) but now wish to remove one of the series from only the chart and not from the original table? Can this be done? If so how would I proceed since clicking on the select data function on the chart does not let me remove any of the data series? |
Remove series from Pivot Chart
Hi,
The charts are tables are linked. Change in one will affect the other. You can create regular charts based on pivot table results. See Jon's article. http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/200...-pivot-tables/ Cheers Andy -- Andy Pope, Microsoft MVP - Excel http://www.andypope.info "Bob" wrote in message ... Remove series from Pivot Chart
You can't remove the series, as Andy points out, but you can format a series
in the chart so it's invisible (depending on chart type: no border, no fill, no lines, no markers). - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services, Inc. http://PeltierTech.com/WordPress/ _______ "Bob" wrote in message ...
