Default Another prob with combination chart

I am using Excel 2003
I have a "custom line - column plotted on 2 axis. curently I have one
vertical column and one line. But I want to add a second line to the graph.
When I do this I loose the first line and only the 2nd line appears. Can't I
have 2 lines from the 2nd axis on a graph with 1 column from the 1st axis?
What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any help someone can give me.
