Answer: Long Tail chart

A Long Tail Chart is a type of chart that displays the distribution of data in a way that emphasizes the long tail of the distribution. This type of chart is commonly used in business and marketing to analyze sales data, website traffic, and other types of data that have a long tail distribution.

To create a Long Tail Chart in Excel, follow these steps:
  1. Enter your data into an Excel spreadsheet. Make sure that your data is sorted in descending order, with the highest values at the top and the lowest values at the bottom.
  2. Select the data that you want to include in your chart.
  3. Click on the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  4. Click on the "Recommended Charts" button.
  5. In the "All Charts" tab, select the "Histogram" chart type.
  6. Click on the "Histogram" chart type to select it.
  7. Click on the "OK" button to create the chart.
  8. Right-click on the chart and select "Select Data" from the context menu.
  9. In the "Select Data Source" dialog box, click on the "Edit" button next to the "Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels" field.
  10. In the "Axis Labels" dialog box, select the range of cells that contains the labels for your data.
  11. Click on the "OK" button to close the "Axis Labels" dialog box.
  12. Click on the "OK" button to close the "Select Data Source" dialog box.
  13. Right-click on the horizontal axis of the chart and select "Format Axis" from the context menu.
  14. In the "Format Axis" dialog box, select the "Axis Options" tab.
  15. In the "Axis Options" tab, set the "Minimum" value to the lowest value in your data.
  16. Set the "Maximum" value to the highest value in your data.
  17. Set the "Major Unit" value to a value that makes sense for your data. For example, if your data ranges from 0 to 1000, you might set the "Major Unit" value to 100.
  18. Click on the "Close" button to close the "Format Axis" dialog box.
  19. Format the chart as desired, including adding a chart title and axis labels.

Your Long Tail Chart is now complete!

Hi,

Just order your data by largest first, smallest last and plot as a line
chart. This is a line chart equivalent of a histogram.

In other words sort your data by the items that are going to be on the Y-axis.
