PROBLEMS WITH DISPLAY EQUATIONS ON CHART
In Excel I have added a polynomial trendline to a graph and clicked 'display
equation on chart'. The equation does not represent what the trendline displays. The trendline line goes through all my 6 data points, but the when i use the equation it is wrong. Any idea's please. |
I expect you have a limited number of decimals showing in the chart.
You can format the equation to display more. Better yet use LINEST - see my website to use LINEST to get polynomial fit www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme/ExcelTips best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "Walter." wrote in message ...
