Chart doesn't print w/worksheet but will print by itself
Hi
I'm using excel 2003, I have a worksheet with a bar chart located within the worksheet. If I print the entire worksheet the chart doesn't print correctly, it will only print a small portion of the text boxes that I put on it. If I click on the chart itself and print it's fine. Here's what I've tried so far: - selected the chart area and then chose "move to front" - made sure the print area include the chart - moved the chart to the bottom, reselected print area (this worked but only if I kept the chart a very small size) - checked to make sure the page setup was the same in both the worksheet and the chart Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks much, Vera |
Chart doesn't print w/worksheet but will print by itself
Hi,
I can't duplicate the problem unless the text boxes are "sent to back" or if their property is set to so Print object is unchecked. This last one is controlled by selecting a checkbox's border and choosing Format, AutoShape, Properties, uncheck Print object. I have heard of similar type problems being relate to printers/printer drivers. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "Vera" wrote: Hi I'm using excel 2003, I have a worksheet with a bar chart located within the worksheet. Chart doesn't print w/worksheet but will print by itself
I think I may have mis-worded this a bit. The problem is that the entire
chart doesn't print unless I have it selected. If I click on a cell in the worksheet the chart will not show up in print preview (or on paper) unless I shrink it to about 1/10th of it's size. The only part that does show up in preview is a very small portion of two of the many text boxes that's I've laid on top of the chart. Quite strange...
