Shadow or Highlight Column in Bar Chart
Hi,
Manually you can select the series and then select an individual bar/column and format it. To have it done automatically you can use an additional series based on some formula to create a conditional chart. http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...nalChart1.html Cheers Andy Reddo wrote: Can you highlight an individual column in a Bar Chart? -- Andy Pope, Microsoft MVP - Excel http://www.andypope.info |

Or you can automate it by creating a new series that is zero except for the highlighted value, and have the original series be zero only for the highlighted value. This produces the effect of automatic "conditional formatting". -- Del Cotter NB Personal replies to this post will send email to , which goes to a spam folder-- please send your email to del3 instead. |
Shadow or Highlight Column in Bar Chart
Hi,
In 2007 you can add the following new enhancements to a single column 1. Bevel, Glow, Soft Edges and many more Shadow options 2. In addition you have Material and Lighting options 3. you have Join, Cap options as well as compound line choices for the borders 4. And you can create your own multi-color gradients (seems pretty difficult to me) But all of this is mainly eye candy - which, although I think it's cute, may or may not be relevant to other people's work. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "Reddo" wrote: Can you highlight an individual column in a Bar Chart? |
